Eindrücke, die sich einprägen, hinterließ die diesjährige Gedenkstättenfahrt nach Polen bei Schülerinnen und Schülern, als sie das Konzentrations- und Vernichtungslager Auschwitz-Birkenau besuchten.
Außerdem hatte die Gruppe wie im Jahr zuvor wieder das Glück, bei einem Zeitzeugengespräch die 92jährige Niusia Horowitz zu treffen, eine der letzten Überlebenden von „Schindlers Liste“.
Mit acht Jahren wurde sie ins Krakauer Ghetto deportiert. Sie berichtete, wie sie später dann ins Gefangenenlager Plaszow und in das KZ Auschwitz kam. Ihre Rettung war, dass sie und ihre Familie in der Fabrik von Oskar Schindler arbeiten konnten und so der Ermordung entgingen.
Es war für unsere Schülerinnen und Schüler ein ganz besonderes Ereignis, diese beeindruckende Frau zu treffen.
