Das Gedenken an die Opfer des Nationalsozialismus hat einen festen Platz in unserem Schulleben.
Wie jedes Jahr haben Schülerinnen und Schüler zum Jahrestag der Novemberpogrome 1938 insgesamt 49 Stolpersteine in Oranienburg gereinigt.
Unterstützt wurden sie dabei wieder von Bürgermeister Alexander Laesicke und Stadtverordnetenvorsteher Dirk Blettermann. Gemeinsam putzten sie in der Bernauer Straße die Gedenksteine für die jüdische Familie Abraham, die hier einst ein Bekleidungsgeschäft betrieb.
Am 9. und 10. November 1938 wurden in vielen deutschen Städten jüdische Menschen verprügelt und getötet und Synagogen angezündet.
Auch in Oranienburg griffen Schlägertrupps Wohnungen und Geschäfte von Jüdinnen und Juden an und zerstörten sie. Sie schändeten Gräber auf dem jüdischen Friedhof und verwüsteten das jüdische Bethaus. Außerdem verschleppten die Nationalsozialisten in den Tagen nach den Pogromen jüdische Männer in Konzentrationslager.
Mit unserer Putzaktion wollen wir ein Zeichen setzen, dass die Schicksale der Opfer des NS-Terrors nicht vergessen werden.
